Das ist Gruppenarbeit / This is teamwork

In this week, i received the following e-mail:

thanks a lot for the e-mail, I did not come on Tuesday because, I met the module leader on Monday and he told me that I don´t need to do the module as last year, I
passed the assessment but failed the exam. But this year, there is no exam so I got a pass for the module. [..] Let the other members know that, I am no more a member of the group. I am very sorry about that, I didn´t know until last Monday and I hope that it won´t disturb you.

English Version:

Ok, he´s not really sorry. He will be happy, because he saved lots of time. But this e-mail is a really good mirror for the organisation of teaching. Groupwork is cool, especially when the members of a team are changing currently. Three days before hand in a assessment, groups are merging together, some students want to join a group or leaving. I´m not really sure about the results of such group works ...
