“Walk Through The Gray” ist eine Mischung aus Trance und Future Pop. Der Titel hat aber keinen Bezug zu älteren Inhalten.

[Verse 1]
You hold me close
but everything keeps moving on
your eyes say yes
my head says maybe

I build my plans
out of glass and paper
one hard gust
and it all falls apart

[Pre-Chorus]
And when I fall
I get back up again
the clock keeps turning
I only glance at it

[Chorus]
Nothing is as uncertain as the future
nothing is as uncertain as the future
I walk through the gray
with my eyes wide open

Nothing is as uncertain as the future
nothing is as uncertain as the future
but every new step
pulls me toward the light

[Verse 2]
Yesterday was loud
today it already sounds far off
promised names
are fading at the core

I’m learning to live
with open space
what tomorrow brings
is still a wild guess

[Pre-Chorus]
And when I fall
I get back up again
the clock keeps turning
I only glance at it

[Chorus]
Nothing is as uncertain as the future
nothing is as uncertain as the future
I walk through the gray
with my eyes wide open

Nothing is as uncertain as the future
nothing is as uncertain as the future
but every new step
pulls me toward the light

[Bridge]
Maybe it’ll be quiet
maybe it’ll get loud
I carry my fear
like a sign I won’t put down

What wants to come
comes anyway
I breathe in deep
and just keep going

[Chorus]
Nothing is as uncertain as the future
nothing is as uncertain as the future
I walk through the gray
with my eyes wide open

Nothing is as uncertain as the future
nothing is as uncertain as the future
but every new step
pulls me toward the light
