In den alten Noten befanden sich nicht nur fertige Titel, sondern auch Fragmente, die damals in kein Lied passten. In diesem Fall ist es ein recht schneller Rythmus: 130BPM mit vielen Schlägen. Und dieses Fragment mit der Belabelung “Phönix07” blieb im Ohr. Also nahm ich diesen Baustein.

Beim Liedtext war ich dieses Mal nicht so kreativ: Phönix. Asche.

Und auch hier nahm ich wieder verschiedene Versionen. Und dann war dabei auch jene Version. Sie fängt sehr getragen an. Und die Gesangsstimme ist sehr durchdringend. Und ich fragte mich schon: wo ist mein Input? Und dann wirbelt nach dem ersten Refrain das Schlagzeug durch den Titel. Es klingt ein wenig so, als geht Gesang und Schlagzeug zweierlei Wege: beide Interessieren sich nicht so füreinander. Aber genau das machte diesen Titel auch aus.
